Jasmine Holiday is returning to The Sims 4 for The Day of The Dead challenge from Oct. 4-Nov. 4. The goal of this special holiday challenge is to fill the Sugar Skull Display Case. You’ll have to explore the neighborhood and meet other Day of the Dead celebrators to collect more Sugar Skulls. Upon filling the display case will all 10 Sugar Skulls, you’ll be awarded with the ‘Honor the Dead’ interaction.
This isn’t a challenge you want to miss because when ‘Honor The Dead’ is unlocked, your Sim will have new options to interact with the Grim Reaper. Instead of just becoming super super sad and grieving for the next day, your Sim will be able to increase their relationship with the Grim Reaper and has a much higher chance of pleading with the Grim Reaper for another Sim’s life. The ‘Honor the dead’ interaction will become available for everyone once the challenge is over, but the Sugar Skulls will not.
Along with Jasmine Holiday, the Sugar Skulls and the ‘Honor the Dead interaction, your sims will also get to wear some really cool Day of the Dead inspired clothing. There’s also new themed objects to decorate with and a few mystery interactions The Sims team is keeping a secret.
Last week’s update may have revealed one of said mystery interactions. According to The Sims Community , visit a Sim’s grave at night time and you’ll have the option to ‘Leave Sugar Skull offering.’ The grave will begin to glow and a notification says ‘the ancestors have heard your call and sent a Day of the Dead celebrator to roam the neighborhood.’ A costumed NPC will appear and you can ask him or her for a Sugar Skull.
Like most challenges, you will have to first find Jasmine Holiday and ask her about the Day of the Dead challenge. You can also summon Jasmine Holiday by calling her on your Sim’s cell phone. She will appear on your lot.
